29 years since we opened the doors to Heartbeat Cafe— a little place built on big dreams, strong coffee, and even stronger community.

From our very first cup served in 1996 to the thousands since, every espresso shot, homemade pastry, and friendly conversation has been a heartbeat of its own. 💓

To our loyal customers, old friends, new faces, and everyone who’s poured love into each cup — thank you for making this journey possible. You’ve turned a neighborhood cafe into a home.

This past week, Heartbeat Cafe, was recognized as the Exemplary Small Business of District 9. I am incredibly proud of the 28 years we have accomplished and look forward to many more. This business began its foundation through family and it has thrived because you have all become my family. All my love to you all🫶 and thank you to Councilmember Pam Foley for all your support!

Today Heartbeat Cafe celebrated its 26th year! To say we are proud of this accomplishment just doesn’t cut it. We are honored to serve as your place of refuge, relaxation, meeting space, and everything else that we are to you. It is through this amazing community we have built that we have been able to not only survive, but thrive through all the ups and downs of the last 26 years. As the future of Cambrian Park Plaza is about unfold we hope to be able to return and pick up right where we left off. In the meantime, and until our little slice of heaven comes down, we will continue to provide you with great coffee, yummy food, and all the wonderful service you can stand. Thank you for all the support - we love you like family.

So grateful to be able to host Coffee with a Cop this morning! It was a hit and we look forward to doing this again in the future. Thank you Councilmember Pam Foley for always thinking of us !

Today for Office Hours, in celebration of Coffee with a Cop Day, we invited Captain Jason Dwyer to spend some time chatting with us about the San Jose Police Department and all things public safety. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning and I am happy we had this opportunity to get more of our residents acquainted with our Southern Division captain 🚔

❤️☕️ Office hours are back! Last Friday we restarted our first office hours since July’s council recess and our very first crack at hybrid office hours too. We had 23 online and about 15 in-person attendees. Thanks to everyone for your questions and for your participation! We will be back in two weeks time.

Huge shoutout to Heartbeat Cafe, located at the Cambrian Park Plaza, for allowing us to host our office hours at your wonderful location. If you’ve never been, please go check them out. They are a local small business and their coffees and pastries are just delicious!

Heartbeat Cafe is celebrating 25 years in business this week. 25 years ago we opened our doors to the Cambrian community and created a safe space for neighbors to meet, enjoy quality espresso, and tasty food. Over the years we built a community so tight knit that a group of our day 1 customers still come every morning, right at opening. We are so grateful for all the support over the years, and especially this last year; we are one of the lucky small businesses that was able to survive. We hope that you’ll stop by this week and help us celebrate! Cheers to you all! 🥂❤️
