We're closed. It was a great run, but farming doesn't pay the bills.

Winter carrots are jut poking their heads up out of the ground. I love pulling these babies out of the ground on a sunny day at Christmas time. Sweetest carrots you'll ever taste.

Couple of new additions to the farm this spring. These 2 Katahdin lambs are about 3 months old. I missed having sheep on the farm and they will help keep the grass cut in the paddocks.

We're doing our part here! This is a problem that should be concerning anyone who eats food. Sadly, it's not.

"A variety of wild plants means a healthier, more diverse bee population, which will then move to the planted fields next door in larger and more active numbers. Indeed, farmers who planted their entire field would earn about $27,000 in profit per farm, whereas those who left a third unplanted for bees to nest and forage in would earn $65,000 on a farm of similar size."

The demise of honeybees should alert us that our own well-being might be similarly threatened.
