Maybe that’s one of the gifts horses give us , they remind us how to play.
Just an adult playing mermaids with her four-legged friends, creating a little magic along the way. 🧜‍♀️🐴✨

I am so grateful for how many training horses I have right now. It is such a blessing to have the opportunity to help so many horses and humans grow together. 🥰
At the same time, finding the time to work my own horses can be a challenge. I’m thankful that I can sneak away for even just a few minutes and ask them a few questions they already know.
It’s amazing what happens when you focus on mental availability. When a horse is truly present, connected, and thinking, they can retain so much more instead of just going through the motions.
Training to me isn’t just about repetition it’s about creating understanding, communication, and a partnership where the horse is an active participant in the process.

When I work my horses at liberty, I'm not looking for perfect maneuvers. I'm watching forRelaxation, curiosity, responsiveness, and willingness to stay connected
The fancy movements come later.
The foundation of every great partnership starts with a horse that wants to be with you.
One of the things I love most about liberty work is how accessible it is. Between lessons and training horses I may only have 15 minutes available. Instead of haltering a horse, bringing them to the arena and tacking up, I can walk out into the pasture and ask a few simple questions.
How well do they stay connected? How responsive are they today? Can they follow a feel, a suggestion, or a change in my energy?
If you make every interaction with your horse a training opportunity, you'd be surprised how much progress can happen in just a few minutes. Training isn't always about finding more time sometimes it's about being intentional with the time you already have. 💛💛💛💛
