The Central Florida Biker Community lost a legend today, and I lost a friend. Bubba Baker was a fixture at The Bar Out Back. Cowboy and Bubba sat at the picnic table by the Tiki Bar on Thursday nights and Sundays. Always a warm smile and a handshake. Always willing to share a story, advice or a laugh. He treated a new rider and those of us at The Bar Out Back like family. And he had a laugh that was uniquely Bubba; a cross between infectious and mischevious. Even after the bar closed, we still made time for lunches or phone calls or a texts. I will miss him. Ride safe my friend. See you on the other side. And thank you for your friendship.

Just trying to help get the word out...

Mike Mularz, a biker and Florida magazine writer, had his beloved macaw parrot stolen during Bike Week. Mularz is asking whoever took Spike to please come forward. Claire Metz has the story.

Since there seems to be more disinformation out there than usual, I thought we'd clarify the situation. The Bar is NOT burning, nor will it be burned. The county fire department is using it for training. The smoke you see isn't from a structural fire, its man made to give the fire fighters the feeling that they are in a real fire and to learn to cope with low visibility and reduced oxygen. We still own the property and are evaluating what it will become in its next life. Any questions? Everybody be safe for Bike Week. Hope to see everyone for the Poker Run & Benefit Concert on Saturday, March 28th. We leave from Shovelhead.

We hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving with their friends and family. Don't forget about the Thanksgiving Eve Bash at Shovelhead tonight. There will be shot specials, live music by Donkey Punch and a great oportunity to begin the holiday season with good friends. See you there!

This Saturday (November 15th) from 10 am til 12:30 pm (unless its raining) we will be having the Bar Out Back version of a garage sale. First come, first serve. As is. Cash only. You buy it you take it with you. Picnic tables, umbrellas, signs, memorabilia, etc. Hope to see you there.
