Many of you have asked and we are finally able to confirm…After three wonderful years of serving the Santa Barbara community, We Want The Funk is closing its doors.

The decision to close is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but our family always comes first and we are looking forward to spending more quality time with our kids and each other.

We are incredibly grateful to the Santa Barbara community for embracing our concept and supporting us throughout this journey. It has been an unforgettable experience, and we’ve been privileged to become part of such a vibrant and welcoming community. While we are excited for the next chapter in our lives, we will always cherish the memories and friendships we’ve built over the years.

The team at We Want The Funk extends heartfelt thanks to our loyal customers, staff, local musicians and partners who have been instrumental in our success. A special thank you to our neighbors: La Lieff Wines , Shalhoob Patio , Dart Coffee and the rest of the incredible small businesses that we admire around the Funk Zone.

A Funk Zone newcomer, it’s casual and mostly out-door, offering bright, seasonal food out of a cherry red food truck (with a wood-fired oven inside).
