During my lifetime as a musician, and as an advocate for others in my profession, I've been fortunate to have built a musical community that stretches all over the world. I feel equally as lucky to be a part of the musical family here in New Mexico, my home for over thirty years. I chatted last week with The Santa Fe Reporter about the upcoming New Mexico Music Awards. This year, like most over the past couple of decades, I had a hand in a great many of the nominated works and I'm proud to be able to collaborate with so many of the wonderful artists from our scene. As the article mentions: "While Manson values the validation of the award, what he really cares about is the work." ....and that's a fact!

2025 has been a year of much growth and transition for me, and my production business. Once again, I'd like to stop and express my deep thanks to all of the artists who've allowed me to be a part of their creations in the studio this year. You all know who you are (I'm not tagging you, because, apart from the fact that you are too numerous, mass tagging is one of my pet peeves). You've come from near and far, it's been quite a ride, and I'm grateful. I've already got some great projects on the books for the coming year and, while I plan to continue to producing and engineering for other artists, I'm looking forward to devoting just a bit more of my creative energy to my own pursuits in 2026.
