Introducing “Pizza Pups,” an innovative partnership between Ventura County Animal Services and PizzaMan Dan's to help some of our longest-waiting dogs find loving homes, one pizza box at a time!
Each month, 5,000 flyers featuring VCAS dogs will be attached to pizza boxes from all 8 Pizza Man Dan’s locations throughout the county. For dogs who have waited months, and sometimes years, this is another chance to catch someone’s eye. Sometimes one photo, seen at just the right moment, is enough for a family to imagine that dog at their feet, waiting for a piece of pizza crust to fall.
Featured this month is 5yo Canelo, a fun-loving boy who is looking for his new family. Visit www.vcas.us/viewan-2/?ida=A841461 to learn more and watch a few videos of him! He'll be waiting for you in kennel #29 at the Camarillo Shelter. Adoption hours, 1PM-6PM, daily.
We wish to thank Dan Collier, founder of Pizza Man Dan’s, for agreeing to this partnership and generously donating pizza box real estate to help our dogs find loving homes. We also want to recognize Ane Howard, the VCAS Volunteer whose idea and advocacy helped bring Pizza Pups to life. Thank you, Ane!
Finding love can happen anywhere. So, why not over pizza?
