Tiki Night was absolutely feral.

The drinks were extremely tiki.
The crowd understood the assignment.
The rum had people making decisions they’ll be laughing for about a month.

Shoutout to the tourists who wandered in looking for a quiet glass of Pinot and accidentally left with a tiki shirt. You’re welcome.

And a very special congratulations to C. Drake Whitcraft , who survived. Barely. He clocked out with all ten fingers, a thousand-yard stare, and just enough energy to tell the tale.

While half the valley is busy explaining terroir with a PowerPoint presentation, Drake will be doing something far more revolutionary: handing you a delicious drink. Maybe 2. Probably 3.

No tasting notes.

FIRST VOYAGE:
Take a respected Santa Barbara County winemaker, remove him from the safety of Pinot Noir and proper stemware, and drop him directly into a room full of tiki drinks, rum, and locals who think umbrellas belong in every beverage.

Enter: Drake Whitcraft. Second-generation winemaker, Pinot specialist, and all-around good sport. 

The question isn’t whether the Mai Tais will survive.
The question is:
Can Drake survive Tiki Thursday?
