Just a reminder that we are closed all week for the 4th of July and won't reopen till Friday July 10th. Reservations are already filling up fast so if you are hoping to join us next weekend then hurry and book a spot before they are all gone.
Many customers have asked us where we eat out and we do have a few favorite places we'd like to give a shout out to:
1) For fast food like burgers and ice cream, we always just hit up our local Sapulpa Braum's when my brother doesn't feel like cooking burgers himself. Shout out to the great staff there, especially Kumar who is an absolute Rockstar. We are always ensured perfection when he is there.
2) For Sushi, the best place we have found is Mr.Nobu's in Tulsa. Just a little ten table spot like ours with high quality ingredients and great unique flavors. So many great things that it's hard to pick out anything particular to recommend except the Shrimp Goddess which we definitely ordered another after we flew through the first order.
3) Iries Place in Sapulpa is a great new addition to this wonderful little town. Great homestyle stews with in-depth flavor that can only be made with love. Great people running the place as well. Nothing fancy, just delicious home cooking that is all about the flavor. Their Curry Soup with Dumplings was the superstar of our order but everything was super tasty. Afterwards, I feel like I just ate Mama's cooking.
4) Lastly, our new favorite restaurant is Saffron Mediterranean in Tulsa. Great Persian food, everything we've had there has been spot on. My mom and I always get the Fesanjoon and the Chicken w/Barberry rice and my brothers always get some sort of Kabob combination. You can tell that they cook with quality ingredients because afterwards I feel like I ate my brother's cooking.
Still, looking for a top-notch Chinese restaurant. We've eaten at Cheng Gu a couple of times and we do really enjoy their General Tso Chicken and their Crab Rangoon. Also, tried Hiya Chili which had better apps but their mains weren't as good as Cheng Gu. Still, feel like there has to be a better overall place that we haven't found yet.
Also, still looking for the best Donut Shop. Have had some pretty good Donuts but not one that made us stop our search. Not looking for fancy donuts. We are really a simple glaze donut family.
So if there are any recommendations for a good Chinese spot or a Donut shop, we are listening.
And if you ask us about Italian, well....🤣 We obviously don't go out to eat Italian. We know of the perfect little spot at 1111 East Denton Avenue in Sapulpa 😉
Lastly, got to give a quick shout out to Tulsa Euro Mart / European foods if you are looking for unique homemade desserts with the perfect amount of sweetness. Also, they have great sandwich meat that you don't find at your other local stores. The owners are wonderful people that we adore and wish the best for.
