Boiled Dinner will be served today from 10am until 2pm for St. Patrick’s Day. Dinners consist of corned beef and cabbage plus boiled potato, carrots, beets, and dessert. Happy St. Patty’s Day! ☘️

Tomorrow, Sunday, March 8th, Hammersmith Family Restaurant will be closed as our family gathers for the 40-day memorial service for our founder and father, Costa Agganis.

In the Greek Orthodox faith, the 40-day service is a deeply meaningful tradition, marking a time to honor and pray for the soul of a loved one as it journeys to eternal rest.

Since his passing on February 1st, our family has been overwhelmed by the love, kindness, and support from our community, friends, and loyal customers. Your prayers, messages, and visits have meant more to us than we can fully express. Thank you ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder and father, Costa "Charlie" Agganis.

He didn't just start Hammersmith Family Restaurant with his wife, Niki; he built something that became part of this community. Every tradition we uphold, every dish we serve, every moment shared here reflects his vision, his values, and his belief that a restaurant should feel like home.

He worked hard every single day and taught us what that really means. He showed us how to treat people, how to run a business with integrity, and how to never forget where we came from.

To everyone who has walked through our doors over the years: thank you. You were part of his dream. Your support, your loyalty, and your presence meant everything to him and means everything to us.

His legacy lives on in every meal we make and every guest we welcome. We'll keep doing what he taught us to do, which is to show up, work hard, and take care of people.

We'll miss him deeply, but his memory will be eternal.

SERVICE INFORMATION:
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S. Common St., Lynn, MA, on Friday, February 6th, 2026, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.

Our family is celebrating a very special wedding this weekend! 💍❤️ The restaurant will be closed starting today and reopening on Wednesday, October 15th so we can enjoy this time together. Thank you for your understanding — we can’t wait to see you when we reopen!
