We love you Tess 💞 “You’re only as strong as the team around you.” In that case, you want General Manager Tess Riter by your side. Tess was there to open Local’s doors in 2007 and she’s been with us through the good and, more recently, trying times since. An honest and loyal friend, Tess’s strength is a core ingredient in the success of all concepts.

Thank you for always being there to help us weather the storm. We couldn’t do it without you!

Raised in eastern North Carolina, Tess Riter started working in restaurants along side her mom at the age of 15. While attending SCAD, Riter worked in fine dining. A year before earning her BFA in photography, she started serving at Local 11ten. Since then she has gone on to curate the opening wine lists at Public Kitchen & Bar, Soho South Cafe and Artillery. Riter earned a level one certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2013, became the General Manager of Soho in 2013 and returned to Local 11ten as General Manager in 2014.
Tess has always strived to exceed the expectations of guests and to create a unique experience to make them feel special.

Local 11ten is a part of the Daniel Reed Hospitality group - we offer great food and great service in beautiful locations, packaging together an experience worth remembering. Daniel Reed is an employee based company - a family company. Team members continually strive for excellence; the locations are unique; the focus is on our patrons.

The Host is often the first and last point of contact for guests, be it in person or on the phone.
It is their role to to create a warm and welcoming environment, to be sincerely polite and hospitable, as well as offering a knowledgeable representation of the restaurant and company as a whole. The Host is the Manager's "right hand" - maintaining a watchful eye on all of the dining room, managing the flow of guests responsibly and communicating effectively with the staff.

Pay is $15 per hour, plus a shift meal.

Must have:
- open availability
- be willing to work weekends
- have reliable transportation
- a working phone number
- ability to stand and work for extended periods of time

Positions also available for Server Assistants

Pay is $9 per hour plus tips - averaging over $25 an hour.

In addition to the requirements above, Servers Assistants must also have the following abilities:

- capable of multitasking in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
- to lift/carry 25 lbs
- to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
