Got a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming for the 6th Annual Night on the Tarmac fundraiser at hangar743 — and trust me, this is not your average fundraiser ✈️✨

This unforgettable evening on June 10th brings together community, aviation, live entertainment, incredible food, and a purpose that truly matters: supporting the Warbird Factory Foundation and its Workforce Development Program, helping create pathways into aviation maintenance and skilled trades through hands-on training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Here’s a little preview of what to expect:
🍸 Curated cocktails + an espresso martini bar
🍴 Gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres by 2sheacatering
🎶 A live band out on the tarmac between vintage planes with the runway glowing behind them
✈️ Aviation displays + WWII plane start-ups and flights
🎟️ Live + silent auctions, including the chance to bid on VIP flight experiences around the Statue of Liberty
🥃 A cigar lounge experience

Getting to go behind the scenes and hear the vision for this event made me even more excited for what’s to come. It’s one of those nights that feels glamorous and exciting while also supporting something incredibly impactful for the next generation.

There are restaurants you enjoy… and then there are restaurants that completely raise the bar. ✨ 15church absolutely delivered from start to finish. Between the exceptional service, an outstanding summer menu, and their iconic “Confession Hour” offerings, every single dish somehow outdid the last. This is officially becoming a summer staple for me. 🍸🦞

Outside at the bar with Jane, we started with the Golden Tempo, Elixir Verde, and my friend itschriswalrath said it’s one of the best dirty martinis he’s had in a long time — made with homemade pickle brine and their own blue cheese blend stuffed olives. Unreal.

We paired cocktails with composed oysters topped with Imperial Ostera caviar, tuna tartare tacos, lobster tostadas, lobster rolls, and “The Church Burger” from their Confession Hour menu that absolutely lived up to the hype. And somehow… we still had room for the mango tart.

Inside, Bob took incredible care of us while we made our way through the overdressed Caesar, hamachi crudo, gnocchi bolognese, filet with pomme purée, the stunning 15 Church cocktail, Golden Hour, and a Baked Alaska that was the perfect ending to the meal.

15 Church isn’t just dinner, it’s an experience. Exceptional hospitality, thoughtful cocktails, and a menu that makes you want to come back immediately to order everything again. 🤍

Lunch at Don Tequila is always a good idea 🌮✨

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… they have some of my FAVORITE chips & salsa in the 518. 🤌 And if you know me, you know I almost always order the fajitas because the flavor is consistently SO good every single time.

Between the delicious food, fun atmosphere, and great service, this is one of those spots I keep finding myself coming back to. 🌶️🍹
