Kitchen 61 Hot meals are now served Monday–Friday from 4:30–6:00 p.m. Pre-order your meals — and don't forget to grab a dessert or fresh-baked treat too!

For many years, I operated a take-and-go restaurant where I prepared meals that were made-from-scratch. The entrees differed from day to day, and week to week, just like they would in your own home. I also catered events ranging from small boardroom meetings and get-togethers; to larger events, such as rehearsal dinners for weddings, birthday parties, and corporate holiday parties. Due to unforese

en events, I closed my storefront in early 2022. You can now find me at the Cape Riverfront Market on Saturdays from 8 am till noon. I'm offering artisan sourdough bread, Liege Belgian waffles with pearl sugar, a variety of dry mixes, seasoning blends, and dip mixes. One day, I will reopen my catering business. Until then, I will offer limited products under the Missouri Cottage Food Law. This allows me to sell shelf-stable food products using my home kitchen. As a disclaimer, my food products and kitchen are not subject to routine government food safety inspections.

We'll be closed for Memorial Day but will be back on Tuesday with an awesome menu. We will have Crawfish Etouffee, Meatloaf, Chicken and Dumplings, and Lasagna. Desserts will be Chocolate Four Layer dessert and Lemon Blueberry layered cake with lemon icing.

I'll publish the menu on Sunday at the normal time but will also send a reminder Monday evening.

I’m working on next week’s menu and I have decided on cube steak, chicken fettuccine Alfredo with bacon, Mediterranean marinated chicken, Swedish meatballs, and ?? Any suggestions?

Dessert will be raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate bars.

I will probably have a salad using some of my lettuce from the garden.
