We will be back to Bands on Broadway with pizza available from our friends at the Powerhouse, tonight from 6:00-9:00. Seems like a good lineup with our buddies Avid Dischord opening up for the Kris Lager Band (who we were lucky enough to catch a sneak peek of the other night and it sounded like they’re ready to rock the town!)
Single topping slices available for $4 a slice and full pies for $24 each. So swing on in to the Powerhouse…our pizza pairs nicely with one of their swanky cocktails and some good tunes on the patio!

Our good friends at Powerhouse Social will be bringing Arthur’s back to Bands on Broadway, starting tonight from 6:00-9:00 pm! Single topping slices…pepperoni, beef or sausage for $4 a slice or $25 for a whole pie.
Tonight will be kind of a trial run to test the demand, so step into the Powerhouse bar and get yourself some Arthur’s with one of their excellent cocktails, while supplies last!

We have been very negligent in our duties here and do apologize for that. But we wanted to wrap this up before the Panhandle Scanner moved on to the summertime contest…so in the interest of time, we will consolidate the semifinal and final winners into one post.
In the final four, we voted #5 Sunset Photo and #8 Closeup Crystals on to the final round. For the final vote, we employed a strategy of tallying the cumulative votes that each finalist received through all previous rounds to determine a winner. In a close race, determined by a single vote, #5 Sunset over the Bluff took top honors to complete this contest!
Congratulations to the photographer who captured this majestic vision over our National Monument and congratulations to all the others who made it this far in their participation!

Sorry again for the delay in our attention to this matter, we thank you for your patience and hope to be more on the ball the next time around!

Thank you to Brad Ronne for bringing in the SHS show choir for lunch, on their annual day of touring and performing for the grade schools. It’s always fun to see the choir students looking sharp and they were a class act, as always! Also a special shout out to Barb Becker, who has served for 37 years as the staff choir accompanist and will be retiring at the end of this school year. She’s served in that role since 1989, under four different directors. Congratulations to Barb and thank you for your lengthy and distinguished service to our schools & students!

Thank you to the SHS Peer Para program students for coming in for their annual end of year bash, in celebration of another year of this special program. The Peer Para program pairs general education students with students with special needs, to serve as mentors and develop bonds of friendship throughout the school year. Thank you for always choosing us for your night of fun and games to close out the year!

Thank you to a big Arthur’s supporter, coach Josh Gomez, for bringing his BMS 6th grade boys Junior Bearcat basketball team in this afternoon, for a little after school end of season pizza party. Congratulations on a successful season and best of luck to them in the future. Hope to see some of these faces representing SHS hoops in the coming years!
