Happy Birthday to my favorite person ❤️

Every year I think about how lucky I am that somehow our paths crossed, and every year you prove again why you’re the most incredible person I know. Your kindness, creativity, patience, and the way you care so deeply about everyone around you inspire me every single day.

You’ve built a beautiful life for us, not because everything is perfect, but because you pour your whole heart into everything you do. Whether it’s dreaming up something amazing for Yellow Firefly, welcoming people into the botanicale, taking care of our little family, or simply making an ordinary day feel special, you have a way of bringing light wherever you go.

Thank you for making me laugh, challenging me to be better, believing in me when I need it most, and choosing me every single day. I’ll never stop being grateful that you beat me to the proposal… even if I still got my turn. Those two moments will always remind me that we’ve never done things the ordinary way, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I hope this year brings you every bit of happiness, adventure, love, and success that you give to everyone else. You deserve the world, and I can’t wait to keep exploring it together.

Happy Birthday, Jo. I love you more than words can ever say. ❤️

Please leave Jo a birthday wish here and I’ll make sure she’s sees it today!

🌞 Fremont Solstice Weekend is here! 🌞

We’re open all weekend, but Saturday we’ll be opening early with special Solstice hours from 11am–8pm.

If you’re heading out to celebrate Fremont’s most colorful day, swing by the garden for a glass of wine, a cold beer, cider, or a bottle to share with friends.

We’ll have Nathan DJ’ing in the garden throughout the day, good music flowing, plenty of sunshine (hopefully), and a laid-back garden party atmosphere all day long.

Whether you’re making us your first stop, your last stop, or just looking for a quiet oasis in the middle of the Solstice madness, we’d love to see you.

🍷 Wine by the glass — $11
🍾 Wine by the bottle — $39
🍺 Beer, cider & NA options available

See you in the garden. 🌿

Our standard tasting for this weekend 😉

🥂 Sparkling
Azimut Brut Nature, Penedès, Spain
A beautifully dry, traditional-method Cava made from native Catalan grapes, offering fine bubbles, citrus peel, white orchard fruit, and a touch of toasted almond. Elegant yet unfussy, it’s the kind of sparkling wine that feels equally at home at a celebration or a Tuesday afternoon.

🤍 White
Capitello Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Crafted by New Zealand-born winemaker Ray Walsh, this Pinot Gris captures Oregon’s cool-climate freshness with bright pear, melon, and stone-fruit character. Rich enough to satisfy, yet vibrant enough to keep you reaching for another sip, it showcases the balance and energy that make Oregon Pinot Gris so beloved.

🌸 Rosé
Gorgiste Gamay Rosé, Columbia Gorge, Washington
Made from Gamay grown high above the Columbia River Gorge, this rosé is all about freshness, lift, and place. Expect juicy red berries, crisp acidity, and a mineral edge that reflects one of Washington’s most exciting emerging wine regions.

🧡 Orange
Fossil & Fawn “Lightwave”, Oregon
One of Oregon’s most iconic skin-contact wines, Lightwave layers citrus zest, dried apricot, wildflowers, and tea-like texture into a wine that feels both playful and contemplative. It perfectly captures Fossil & Fawn’s philosophy of making expressive, low-intervention wines that are as vibrant as the people who drink them.

🍷 Red
Stirm 2023 El Gabilan Cabernet Pfeffer, Cienega Valley, California
A rare California treasure from century-old vines, Cabernet Pfeffer delivers a wildly aromatic mix of peppercorn, rose petals, cranberry, and savory spice. Light on its feet yet deeply distinctive, it’s a reminder that California’s most fascinating wines aren’t always the most famous ones.

Four years. 🌿🍷

Honestly, when we opened The Botanicale, we had no idea what the future would hold. We just hoped to create a space where people could slow down, share our favorite drinks, connect with friends, and feel a little more at home.

Over the last four years, you’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, new jobs, and fresh starts with us. You’ve shown up for tastings, concerts, kittens, and countless conversations that have made this little space feel bigger than we ever imagined.

Thank you for supporting a small dream and helping turn it into a community.

To celebrate, we’ll be open from 1–8 PM this Saturday with two tasting options available:

🍷 Standard Tasting - $25
🥂 Reserve Tasting + Glass - $50

We’ll also have our friend Nathan spinning tunes in the garden throughout the afternoon.

And don’t forget, we’re kicking off the weekend with a Sofar Sounds show on Friday night (ticket link in bio).

Whether you’ve been with us since day one or just discovered us recently, we’re grateful you’re here. Here’s to four years of wine, plants, music, friendship, and all the beautiful moments in between.

Cheers,

Jo & Scott

Today we celebrate Jo, the heart, vision, and strength behind so much of what the botanicale has become.

From its very roots, Jo has helped shape us into more than just a space. She has helped build a place that feels alive, warm, creative, welcoming, and deeply community-driven. Her eye for beauty, her care for people, and her ability to turn ideas into something real have been part of its foundation from the very beginning. (Because I’m definitely not great at that lol)

She leads with creativity, always finding ways to make things more thoughtful, more beautiful, and more meaningful. So much of the botanicale’s spirit comes from her, from the atmosphere people feel when they walk in, to the intention behind what we create.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate Jo and the incredible woman she is: a leader, a creator, a partner, and a force behind the roots and growth of the botanicale. We would not exist without her :)
