This Monday we'll be donating all drink sales to support a dear friend and beloved Burien community member who was taken and is being held by ICE. We are determined to do everything we can to bring her home.
Why is this vague? Immigration lawyers have advised that social media posts and coverage from 3rd parties have been used against defendants in their immigration hearings. Because of the risk that it could negatively impact them, we will not be connecting our fundraiser to them individually.
Monday, October 26, 7am to 6pm, proceeds from 100% of beverage sales will be contributed to their legal fees and other expenses.
