Matt’s is open 10:30-8pm Monday-Friday so the work hours couldn’t be better. The hours are flexible— we will meet you with where you’re at and what you can work. Can only work 20 hours a week? Not a problem. We’d love to have you. This team is such a friendly one, and we truly have a lot of fun here. And the thing that really is the cherry on top is the customers. Our customers are the warmest and friendliest people.

When I started Matt’s 32 years ago today, I remember thinking, “I’m starting a hotdog stand… seriously, how hard can it be?” I’m nothing if not an idiot, and soon found out that the answer to my question is one word— ”Extremely.”

It has been a journey that, while difficult, has also been so rewarding. One thing that I underestimated was the opportunity to connect with a customer base that is second to none. You are all such wonderful people and I’m grateful for the chance I’ve had to get to know you.

So here’s to 32 more. I’ll be here. Sure, I’ll be 95, but that won’t be a problem. I mean… how hard can it be?
