It feels like just yesterday we started what would become the exciting journey of having our own place. At the age we were when we started out we thought we knew it all and would have a juice and smoothie shack on every corner but fate would have other plans. While it has been far from easy and we are certainly not perfect Taproot Cafe & Bar has been in a perpetual state of evolution. We have expanded our menu, enhanced our cocktails, grown our catering program and made new friends. We take a lot of pride in being around this long and are sometimes surprised we managed to survive. The Italians have a saying “Cent’Anni” meaning health for the next 100 years and while that’s a difficult hill to climb we look forward to the next 14!

Tonight is a night of collaborations with neighbors as well as our beloved ColumbiaCityBeatwalk and Columbia City Artwalk Taproot will be featuring cocktails inspired by Sean Perryman, founder of Sean Perryman, but wait there’s more…Vino Verité will be offering a tasting of these three unique vermouths, poured by Sean himself from 5-7pm. Come sip and support entrepreneurs and artists with this one of a kind event!

Don’t forget to be Columbia City Artwalk tomorrow Thursday 6/25 from 4-9 pm in Downtown Columbia City for all the artistry in the many shops along Rainier Ave!
