I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone that knocks on our door and sends me texts and generally checks in on WHEN THEY CAN PARTY here! We’ve had a few set backs and we’re hoping to open in August but now it’s November. I should have some FIRM information in the next two weeks. Please keep knocking!

BIG NEWS. Bebop is closing after 10.5 years! Wow, I can’t believe this day has come. We will be open until DECEMBER 31st so come get all the merch and butters. I hate to close a safe space for q***r people at this time but the money just isn’t there after the minimum wage increase (which I fully support). I also need some time to take care of my body and mental health. Brunch life sure isn’t easy on the 46 year old body and it’s time to pivot. As any an entrepreneur does! The is shifting to being all online at the end of summer. SO I’ll be taking over the entire space and creating an event venue. As some of you know I used to own and operate which I had to close during the pandemic. I’m so grateful to stay in this community and provide fun and safety and love in a new format. I plan to support the restaurants in my neighborhood with catering opportunities.It’s impossible to imagine my life without Bebop, I raised my son here, I made lifelong friendships here. I GOT MARRIED HERE, two other couples got married here 💕 My hope as a boss has been that every employee leaves better than when they started and breaking the news to them split my heart. MANY people are asking how to support me during this transition and all I ask is come TIP my staff, pay in CASH, tip in CASH buy all our merch, lobby for tax breaks for small businesses AND BOOK the space when we open. Tell everyone you know, send money via Venmo I’ll need to raise money, so stay tuned for that. Make all your spaces inclusive, your lgbtq and trans neighbors need you. AND thank you for supporting my art, my vision, my heart and my family. ❤️

Long before I ever had a cafe I put my mug on a mug and gave it to all my friends at Christmas. Many of the OG peeps still send me pics drinking from this mug. The doggos name is Bebop named from Cowboy Bebop.
