Slate is a Seattle based and family owned coffee roaster armed with an Airstream trailer, a coffee bar and a passion for sourcing the best ingredients we can find. Tasting coffees like these represented a paradigm shift in our idea of what coffee could be and it became Slate’s goal to share these coffees with you. To do this, we shift the coffee experience in a more culinary direction by emphasizi
ng intentionality, hospitality and exploration. To us, this means treating coffee like the agricultural product that it is, being transparent about who grows our coffees and rotating our offerings seasonally. It means recognizing that quality is a result of collaboration by pursuing direct relationships with the producers we work with. It means roasting coffees to emphasize terroir rather than impose flavor and offering a menu free from syrups, sugars and large beverages that bury the distinctive complexity of each coffee. More than anything else, it means providing our guests with a great time and a tasty beverage.
