Shady spots like the north side of the house, or the dappled shade of a tree are a great spot for your summer greens. Where would you go to escape the sun on a hot day? That's where you plant some delicate leafy greens. Try a raised bed. Really raised. Like pots on a picnic bench or hanging baskets. Eat summer leaves fast, cut from one side, then the next. In the heat, rotate harvest and seed, plants will bolt quickly. Yum, baby greens.
