Thank you everyone for so much love and support the last month…. And last 10 yrs! Thank you all for your stories, for being our community, for sharing all the special occasions, relationships, laughter, silliness, tears- ALL OF IT! Thank you for helping us to see that it’s not just a restaurant, it’s not just food, it’s all about PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE. Please share your pics with us if you have some gems as we didn’t take many. We wish you all the very best and Happy travels and good eating!

First off, thank you everyone that has come in over the last couple weeks to enjoy a last meal, share their amazing Kedai stories, hug me! Most have been so very patient and kind and wished us the best. A sincere thank you to you. At the same time it has been nuts and pretty much impossible to get people in in a timely matter with huge parties, way too much food ordered ( dbl the size you could come close to eating). We are now throwing down some rules to make it more efficient, feed more people, and most importantly not kill ourselves. From here on out: no parties over 4 (no exception); only 1 entree per person, only one card payment per group, and when our togo boxes run out- there out! We will do our best, help us out!

We started kedai because we discovered a whole new world after traveling to SE Asia, we were intrigued by the mix of cultures and food we found. We decided to bring that back to Seattle. We also wanted a simple small neighborhood spot, where we could make good honest food for a room full of people with different backgrounds. I think we have accomplished this, and We are proud of that. But now it is time for the next chapter. Kedai’s last day will be Oct 29th. In the mean time, our spot is up for sale and we hope to find someone with new ideas and thoughts for this lovely neighborhood as we embark on whatever may be next for us.
