When Matt Lewis started his food truck Where Ya At Matt? in 2010, it was no surprise that it became a hit in Seattle, bringing New Orleans street food to the streets of the Emerald City. When Restaurant Roux opened in 2013, the idea wasn’t to simply copy and paste the truck into a brick and mortar restaurant but to expand on the idea of creole food in a Seattle setting. While offering more traditi

onal fare for lunch, executive chef Michael Robertshaw takes the flavors, ingredients and style of Creole food and brings in Pacific Northwest influence and classical French training. The combination of the bold, assertive flavors of New Orleans, the commitment to quality ingredients that Seattle prides itself on, and the attention to detail in technique and presentation that are hallmarks of French cuisine make for truly unique, memorable, and most importantly delicious experience.

We have loved serving y’all over the last 4+ years, but after some soul-searching we decided to accept an offer to sell Restaurant Roux. The final date of service will be brunch on Sunday, February 18th, however, in true New Orleans fashion, we are going out with a bang, so COME PARTY WITH US!

Next week we will have live music on Tuesday, 2/13 for Mardi Gras, nothing but love on Wednesday for Valentine’s Day, and a rowdy weekend to close it down! We thank everyone for all of their support. Though Roux will soon be no more, you can still find our food at the Where Ya At Matt food truck and we can cater all your lunches, company events, special events and weddings!
