đź‘‹ Meet Ryan George, one of our pharmacy technicians at Schaffner Pharmacy & Compounding!
Ryan has been a certified pharmacy technician for nearly foAnacortesWA , he worked in the restaurant industry and saw pharmacy as a natural extension of hospitality—a new way to serve and care for people.
He discovered his interest in compounding during pharmacy technician school, where he spent a week learning how customized medications are made. After that experience, he knew compounding was what he wanted to keep doing.
Ryan brings so much more than technical skill to our team. He is funny, witty, and—judging by his answers—surprisingly lyrically gifted! He brings a positive, energetic attitude to the compounding lab and the pharmacy as a whole, and we are thrilled to have him with us.
When asked what he enjoys most about working here, Ryan said: “Getting in on the ground floor of a new, burgeoning business and serving our local community is like getting two wishes for just one rub of the lamp.”
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, golfing, camping, reading comic books, and rolling dice at the D&D table. His favorite local restaurant is De Asian—especially the sushi! 🍣
His favorite part of living and working in Anacortes? Rarely dealing with traffic—and almost always finding someone he knows who will wave back. 👋
