🚨 UPDATE ON THE REFRIGERATOR SITUATION! 🚨

Well, y’all… just when I thought finding an entire refrigerator dumped beside our dumpster couldn’t get any more ridiculous, IT DID.

THE REFRIGERATOR IS FULL OF ROTTON FOOD! 🤢

Not only did someone decide our business was an appropriate place to abandon an unwanted appliance, but they also couldn’t be bothered to empty it first!

As a restaurant, we work hard to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Having someone dump something like this on our property isn’t just disrespectful. It may also be against the law.

⚖️ LET’S TALK ABOUT TEXAS LAW!

Under Texas Health and Safety Code § 365.012, disposing of litter or solid waste on someone else’s property without their permission is prohibited.

And yes, discarded appliances can fall under Texas’s illegal dumping laws!

Depending on the amount dumped and the circumstances, violations can result in misdemeanor or even felony charges.

To whoever left this refrigerator: We are asking you to return and remove it, along with ALL of its contents, from our property.

We are a small, locally owned business. We pay for our own trash service, maintain our property, and work hard to keep our restaurant clean. We should not have to take on the expense or responsibility of disposing of someone else’s unwanted belongings.

This is absolutely unacceptable.

Y’all, we serve home-cooked meals. We don’t collect everybody else’s leftovers!

Please respect our property, respect local businesses, and dispose of your unwanted items properly.

And for anyone wondering, yes, illegal dumping can be reported to law enforcement.
