I joined Rotary in 2008 while working as the General Manager at Holiday Inn Express (where I stayed for nearly 10 years). It was important to me to join after seeing all the great work Rotary was doing through my friend, Sandy Hatfield. The club was deeply involved with the community, supporting health initiatives like vaccination contributions and educational projects like providing dictionaries and scholarships. It felt right to be a part of giving back alongside like-minded people and applying my efforts wherever I could help.

After joining the club, I had the privilege of serving as the Shamrock Rotary Club President in 2013โ2014, during which our club was honored by District 5730 with the '100% Paul Harris Achievement.' I also had the honor of serving a second term as President in 2020โ2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when District 5730 named us 'The Most Outstanding Club.' Our club took safety measures very seriously while continuing to stay active in serving the community. I love that our club actively displays the American flags on holidays and that our members feel like extended family.

After my time at Holiday Inn Express, I worked in the McDonaldโs administration office for four years, overseeing seven different restaurants. In 2021, I was appointed to the position of City Secretary for the City of Shamrock, where I attest to all City Council meetings, minutes, and financial records. This role has allowed me to grow through continuous education; I have been a member of the TMCA Panhandle Chapter since 2022, where I currently serve as Historian.

Finishing college. I originally started back in 2000 but didn't finish due to life circumstances, starting a family, and working. In 2024, my oldest son, Dominic, who was 17 at the time, was taking online college courses through Clarendon College and encouraged me to go back. I decided to take the leap, and in May 2025, I earned my Associate Degree. Completing something I started two decades ago was a huge boost to my confidence. While Iโve achieved various professional milestones throughout my career, this was a deeply personal success. It inspired me to keep going, and I am currently a Junior at Angelo State University working toward my Bachelorโs Degree through online courses.

My family and I have been members of First Baptist Church of Shamrock since 2011. I also recently joined the Shamrock Chamber of Commerce Board in 2026 to support another organization dedicated to giving back to local businesses, the school, and scholarship programs.

I genuinely enjoy being around people, asking curious questions, and hearing the unique responses I get from folks I meet! Above all, being a mom is the absolute best part of life. Watching my kids chase after their dreams and standing by their side along the way is such a beautiful experience.
