Buon Anno, amici! Happy New Year's, friends!
We awake to 2016 with our hearts full of gratitude for all of you! And, on this new day we wanted to express how much we have appreciated your support, love, and friendship over the years.
It is with full hearts that we tell you Da Mimmo e Dax will be closing our doors starting today. We will be beginning a new chapter, yet unwritten, but full of much hope, promise, and, again, *gratitude*.
A little over 3 years ago, we took a big leap to move to another state, a new town, with an almost 2 y.o. and 3 1/2 y.o. to start a restaurant - a dream of Mimmo's - to cook the food passed down to him from his mother and his ancestors.
Family has always been at the core of where we come from - from the recipes, to the atmosphere we wanted to create, the business decisions that we've made, and the clientele we've grown. Thank you for supporting our family AND for being a part of our family at the long tables and the small tables - from the intimate space to the expanded space. It has been such an honor to have you fill our sala with birthday celebrations, anniversaries, wedding rehearsal dinners, charitable functions, festivals, holiday parties, reunions, and the mere simplicity and joy of sharing a meal with family and friends. We cherish the connections we've made with local farms and winemakers, our vendors, and other small business owners. We have been blessed with seeing so much kindness and love expressed in our restaurant and being able to serve it back to you all - as Mimmo would say "con amore e passione".
So, today we raise our glass to you in a "Salute!" "Alla Famiglia!" "A Noi!" for the new year. "Cheers!" "To the family!" "To all of us!".
And, we look ahead to the next chapter, and all the new possibilities for 2016 for us all!
