Good morning, Blue Devils!!! We are looking for more kiddos to join us for our Summer ACES program! We currently have 20 students enrolled, but we are looking for more! The program is available for ALL Shirley students!!! Yes, even high school!!

Our grant year begins June 1st, and our goal this year is to get more students involved. At this time, we have zero high school students in attendance, but with the help of you and those high schoolers, we could build a program specifically for them! Having a program designed for the students, by the students, would be the ultimate way to show what this grant is truly about.

Encourage your kiddos to be an active part of the ACES program, and reach out to Mrs. Angie for registration information.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Please talk to your kids about things like this. I know it is part of the job to clean up messes, but I know that the students who sat at this particular table knows better than this. Intentionally putting a sticky syrup lid on the napkin dispenser and leaving a puddle of what had to be nearly a full syrup cup on the table for us to clean up.

Yesterday, a table of high school students left two puddles of tea on both the table and floor for us. Wasn’t that sweet?

I know we have some amazing kids here, but please help us teach them to clean up after themselves or at the very least alerting us to the mess so we can help out.

Due to parent teacher conferences this evening, ACES students can be picked up at the elementary school. Conferences are held from 4 pm to 7 pm. Come by and visit with your child’s teacher. ACES students will be in Room 10.

Parents, remember that class starts at 7:45, so be sure to get those kiddos to the cafeteria in time to get their belly’s full before class time.

Kiddos, get your snow day stories ready because Mrs. Angie can’t wait to hear them all!!
