The Green Teahouse THE GREEN TEAHOUSE was inspired by two brothers and a sister's passion for unique and premium teas. In 2009, The Green Teahouse was established.

Since youth they were enamored with their time-honored Chinese tradition of drinking fresh loose tea. Such love fostered their passion and created a renewed respect and appreciation for their culture. Aspiring to share their heritage and rich knowledge of fine tea, while recognizing America's health awareness, they ventured to the Western world. The brothers-sister team ushered in a new tradition while realizing a childhood dream. Today the fruits of their labor can be enjoyed in America and throughout the world; proudly offering only the finest teas worthy of bearing The Green Teahouse name. Taste the difference that extraordinary quality and guaranteed freshness can make in your cup! Share the dream! Share the passion!

If you could share 1 cup of tea / coffee with someone who would it be ?

For over 17 years, I’ve had the joy of serving tea to so many wonderful moms and daughters here in America. ❤️
But there’s one person I wish I could have served a cup of tea to—my own mom.

She never had the chance to visit me in America or see the life and tea business I built here. How I wish I could have made her a cup of tea with my own hands.

My friends, if you still have your mom, or your children are close by, make time for a little tea or coffee together. It doesn’t have to be anything special. Just being together is enough.

Because we never know which ordinary moment will become a precious memory 🥰

Chinese Millet Congee, With a Pu-erh Tea Twist! 🍵❤️
Many of you loved my last millet congee recipe, so today I’m sharing another way to enjoy this traditional Chinese breakfast!

This time, instead of water, I’m using my custom-blended Organic Goji Jujube Pu-erh Tea as the cooking broth.

Fermented Pu-erh tea has been traditionally enjoyed in China after meals for digestive comfort.

The pumpkin adds natural sweetness, while two poached eggs provide extra protein for a satisfying morning meal.

Here’s my recipe:
🎃 2 cups pumpkin
🍵 4 cups brewed Goji Jujube Pu-erh Tea
🌾 ½ cup millet, rinsed
🥚 2 poached eggs
✨ Ground cinnamon and maple syrup, to taste

Instructions:
•Bring the pumpkin, millet, and brewed tea to a boil.
• Cover and simmer for 10–15 minutes, or until the millet is tender.
• Add more liquid if needed.
• Add two eggs in, cover the lid, turn off the heat and let them sit for another 5 min.
• A sprinkle of cinnamon, and a little maple syrup if desired.

✨If you’d like to try my custom-blended Organic Goji Jujube Pu-erh Tea, you can find it at: TheGreenTeahouse.com or through the link in my bio.

Ting ❤️

Why do so many Chinese families start the day with warm congee?

Here’s what TCM says about it.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, millet is known to strengthen the spleen and harmonize the stomach.

In TCM, a harmonized stomach means good digestion and a settled appetite.

The classic Compendium of Materia Medica (1578) records that millet congee nourishes the body and restores what is depleted.

Warm congee is easy to digest, which makes it a gentle way to start your day.

Hi this is Ting 😊Would you try millet congee for breakfast?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, feeling heated from within, dry eyes, and restlessness are sometimes associated with an imbalance of Internal Heat.

For generations, Chinese families have turned to cooling herbs to help restore harmony and balance.

As someone who grew up with these traditions, I love bringing this ancient tradition into a refreshing, enjoyable daily tea ritual. 💚

Tomorrow would be my mother’s birthday.
I waited my whole life for her hug, and God gave it to me in her final days.

Friend, if you’re carrying hurt toward a parent, don’t wait. 🤍

Who do you need to call today?

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV)

On chilly fall evenings, I love simmering a warm pot of rooibos tea o slow down, relax, and unwind after a long day.

Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and contains beneficial plant antioxidants, along with trace amounts of minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Tonight, I added fresh apple and juicy pumpkin slices for natural sweetness, plant antioxidants, and a little extra autumn nourishment.

In Chinese food therapy, apples are traditionally valued for supporting body fluids and soothing dryness, while pumpkin is believed to support Spleen and Stomach 🍵🍂

My name is Ting 😊I’ve been blending tea for the past 17 years, and some of my blends are inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and the wellness traditions I grew up with.

Hi, I’m Ting! ❤️ I love tea and cooking, and I’m combining my two passions together? ☕️🍳

Inspired by my Chinese cooking traditions, I experimented with salmon and my Apple Pie Chai Tea for the very first time!

The result? A cozy, toasty, fragrant dish with a creamy coconut finish. So delicious! 🍎🐟

Would you ever try cooking with tea? 😊

Growing up in China, I learned that tea is more than a comforting beverage. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), different teas are valued for their unique properties and how they may support our body’s balance throughout the day.

🌿 MORNING | Green Tea or Matcha
Refresh • Awaken • Focus
Naturally rich in antioxidants and caffeine, these teas help promote mental alertness and a refreshing start to your morning. In TCM, green tea is traditionally valued for its cooling and heat-clearing properties.

🍃 LUNCHTIME | Oolong Tea or White Tea
Metabolism • Gentle Energy • Refreshment
Oolong is traditionally enjoyed to support digestive comfort, especially after meals. White tea is valued for its cooling nature. Both contain beneficial polyphenols and can provide a pleasant midday lift.

🫖 AFTER LUNCH OR EARLY DINNER | Black Tea or Pu-erh Tea
Digestive Comfort • Warmth • Balance
In TCM, black tea and ripe Pu-erh are traditionally considered warming and are often enjoyed after rich or heavy meals. Their comforting character makes them lovely companions to digestion. Enjoy earlier in the day if you’re sensitive to caffeine.

🌸 BEDTIME | Caffeine-Free Fruit or Herbal Tea
Relax • Unwind • Rest
As the day comes to an end, a warm cup of caffeine-free fruit or herbal tea creates a peaceful moment to slow down. Herbs such as chamomile have a long tradition of use for relaxation.

😊Friend, which tea do you enjoy most, and what time of day do you drink it? I’d love to hear! ☕️
With love,
Ting ❤️
