We are firm believers that in order to advance forward, sometimes, the best thing to do is to go back to the initial vision, the passion, the way it was intended. We’ve always listened to suggestions from you, the Public, and we’ve tried some really good ideas, the things that make good sense on paper. One really important lesson we’ve learned over the last almost 3 years is that our capabilities are not the same as our capacity. We are capable of a lot but we don’t always have the capacity to do everything according to our self inflicted standards. Seasons are inevitable in life and they always change. Both of our businesses have molded us into “professional pivoters” We’ve learned to lean into change along the way. I think personally, being able to bend, flex, and flow with the seasons is the secret to longevity in this small businesses world. There has been a lot of heart, passion, hospitality, and our capabilities poured into Public House 421. This House is worthy of our best, because to us, this is your House too and we want to be here for a long time pouring your favorite pick me ups. All of that said, we want to be transparent with you and let you know that for this 2026 Summer season we will be open M-F 6:30-Noon only until further notice. (With some random, special exceptions, like this Saturday 8am-Noon, we will be open for the Slater City Garage Sale.) Thank you 🫵🏼 for pivoting with us! ✨
