Y’ALLLLLLL. 😩

I got up early this morning thinking, “Let me give the hubby a break and clean the food trailer myself” (he usually does it).

I got all the way down to scrubbing the floors and said, “Let me go ahead and load the trailer up.”

BABYYYYY… I opened the fridge and ALL my meat had spoiled. 😭😭😭

When I tell y’all I could cry like a baby… I mean CRY. I have an event tonight AND tomorrow, and now I have to go spend money replacing everything I already had.

Whyyyyyy today?! 😩 Lord, I’m trying to see the lesson because whew… this one hurt.

One thing I never realized about owning a business…

The hardest part isn’t always the long days, the late nights, or even the money. It’s making decisions.

Every single day I’m making choices that affect Bonn-Fyah. Do we invest in new equipment? Add something new to the menu? Book that event? Raise prices? Stay where we are or take the next big step? Every decision feels like it has the power to move the business forward—or teach me an expensive lesson.

People see the finished product, but they don’t always see everything that goes into getting there. The praying. The researching. The budgeting. The second-guessing. The conversations at the kitchen table. The moments where you simply have to trust your gut and keep moving, even when you don’t have all the answers.

As Bonn-Fyah continues to grow, I’ve realized my decisions don’t just affect me anymore. They affect my family, our customers and the future we’re trying to build. That’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

Have I made mistakes? Absolutely. Some decisions have opened doors I never imagined. Others have humbled me and taught lessons I couldn’t have learned any other way. But every single one has helped me become a better business owner.

I’m learning that success isn’t about making perfect decisions. It’s about making the best decision you can with what you know, trusting God with the rest, learning from every outcome, and refusing to quit.

So if you’re chasing a dream or building something of your own, don’t let fear keep you stuck. You won’t always know if you’re making the “right” decision, but you’ll never grow if you don’t make one at all.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — The Bible, Proverbs 3:5–6 💜I
