We are going live at 6 PM today with a quick drawing for two Tee Shirts. These shirts were made by Paulaner Bier in support of our lil German Restaurant, Oma’s Schnitzel Ranch in Smiley Texas! These shirts are showcasing German SPEZI, known as SUNSET in America. This is a favorite cola drink in Germany!

Unfortunately, we are unable to book any more reservations for Sunday, Father’s Day. We have a limited amount of reservations available for Friday 19 June and a few for Saturday, 20 June.

I book reservations for approximately half of our seating to ensure we have some seating available for walkins. There may be a wait time for walkins.

We are a small restaurant with limited amount of tables. Guests might need to share the larger tables. Interestingly, we have found people sharing tables engaged in animated conversations with their new acquaintances, some exchanging telephone numbers to stay in touch, and we have had several pay for their new found friends meals. Two couples that shared a table a few months ago, now meet here often to enjoy our food and each others company.

We have also noticed that most of our guests dress up to come eat here. We throughly enjoy that!

WE WILL BE OPEN FATHERS DAY. Reservations are strongly encouraged for this special day.

I will have a special meal for dads with big appetites. Similar to a sampler plate with appetizer, two or three meats, sides and a dessert. I’ll post that in a few days.

Open 12 & 13 June

Time : 11:00 till 6:pm

We have all your favorite German food, desserts and breads ready for tomorrow and Saturday!

This batch of Sauerbraten, & Maultaschen are spectacular! They are even more flavorful than before!

Cakes continue to sell out, as do most of our meals. I think I have everything about as good as it will ever be. The bratwursts flavor seems to have improved as well.

Reservations recommended but NOT required.

As some of you know, Oma’s Schnitzel Ranch now carries “Sunset” which is simply the American name for German SPEZI. It is exactly the same and is shipped to us by Paulaner.

Sunset made some one of a kind Tee shirts with our logo on the front and the Sunset logo on the back.

I decided I will give them away to our customers. Oma agrees with me. Whenever a customer buys a SPEZI/SUNSET drink from us, we will give the customer one drawing entry. And at the end of the month, we will draw the winners and send them their tee shirts!

No catch, no gimmick, no cost to our customers other than buying and enjoying a cold, delicious, traditional German soft drink!

You have three weekends to enter before the end of the month! So come see us and enjoy some incredible authentic German food and desserts, and of course, a cold Sunset soft drink!
