My winter project to make my own decorations for next years light show at my house.

CNC laser Engraver and Cutter. For wood and plastic only and has a max cutting depth of 9mm on plastic and 6mm for wood.

2x3' cutting area.2 to 7.5watt light output laser module.
GRBL compatible controller.
Running LightBlaze software.

This is a work in progress so we will se how I do when I get some more framing parts made.

I am also building a Metal cutting CNC in my shop using the same 2x3' dimensions as the laser but it will be made with a much more rigid frame and use ball screws instead of belts for movement and run on linear rails.
I only plan on cutting aluminum up to 10mm thick to make upgrade parts for the laser cutter and then use it to make custom car speaker enclosures.
