For now, Haunted History Thursday is an online storytelling series shared exclusively here on the Cabbage Patch Restaurant page. There are no live storytelling events, ghost tours, or paranormal activities taking place at the restaurant at this time—but something spooky may be in the works!

We’ll share all the details when the time comes. Until then, follow along right here each week for more haunted history, unexplained stories, and local legends from the Cabbage Patch.

THE UNCLE IN THE SHADOW

In 2007, paranormal investigators exploring the stories surrounding Sybil reported seeing an older, sandy-haired man in a dark jacket. In the dim light, they noticed the white cuffs of his shirt.

They believed the man might have been Sybil’s uncle—and said they sensed she was afraid of him. Some investigators wondered if there had been a struggle before Sybil’s fatal fall down the stairs. It’s a chilling theory, but the truth remains part of the Cabbage Patch’s paranormal lore.

Then came the voice on the recording: “Go home.”

Was it a warning from the man in the shadows? Or an unexplained sound caught in the dark? What do you think?
