We’re turning Sundae Sunday into a WEEK-LONG party! From July 26th through August 1st, we’re making every day a little sweeter for the kiddos at the brewpub.

Meet Ryan, our Cedar Rapids Sous Chef and a true culinary powerhouse who has been with our restaurant family since 2017!👨‍🍳

After crushing it as our event chef—including serving 3,000 burgers for the CR marathon—he happily ditched the I-380 commute to lead the BGCR kitchen. When he isn't passionately crafting dishes with fresh, unpretentious local ingredients, you can find this South Dakota native hunting for thrift store cookbooks or hanging out with his dog, Dexter.

We are incredibly lucky to have his outstanding leadership and culinary talent in the kitchen. Next time you see him, be sure to ask about his retro video game collection or his upcoming adventures in homemade charcuterie!

We’re donating $1 from every pint of our OG Stone Academy Porter toward a new room for the historic building on Highway 1.

Meet Brandon, our Iowa City Taproom Manager who hails from the 20-person town of Mt. Hamill and is celebrating five years with Big Grove this September!👏

Starting as a host for only his second job ever, he has tackled nearly every role in the building and plans to keep growing with us because his coworkers quickly became true friends. Outside of work, you can find him cooking, hitting the gym, gaming, learning, and always making people laugh.

Fun fact: his side hustle is working as a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist (okay, he completely made that up). Drop some love for Brandon in the comments, and a special shoutout from him to all the Golds and Oranges out there!

We’ve had the best time celebrating love, inclusion, and community all month long! 🌈✨ From marching in the Des Moines and Iowa City Pride parades to hosting incredible Drag events across our taprooms, we loved every second of celebrating alongside you.

Want to keep the celebration going? Our limited-release beer, Rainbow Connection, is still flowing! You can find it on draft in our taprooms and at local retailers.
