Currently owned by Mark and Pam Miller of Somerset for more than 26 years, Pine Grill has a casual dining atmosphere with reasonable prices as well as a special children’s menu. Located off Exit 110 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, you can find the restaurant quickly by going to the second traffic light from the exit. Turn right and the restaurant is immediately on your left along North Center Avenue

in Somerset, next to the Harley Davidson motorcycle shop. You can experience some of the finest grass-fed steaks, seafood and pasta with dishes ranging from salmon fillet with dill sauce to chicken and mushroom alfredo. You can also enjoy a cocktail in our pleasant and comfortable lounge.

Sunday felt like the perfect day to share Dad/Grandpa.

After church, you could always count on finding him at the Pine Grill with mom, turning a quick lunch into hours of stories, laughter, and catching up with everyone who came through the doors. Sundays were his favorite, spent with some of the people he loved the most: his church family and his Pine Grill family.

Yesterday was Mom’s 99th birthday in heaven. Bob never missed a chance to call and sing “Happy Birthday” to the people he loved, and this year, after two birthdays, she got the sweetest front row seat to hear him sing again.

In honor of our 85th year, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has dined with us and continues to make Pine Grill feel like home. Your support, stories, and familiar faces are what have carried us through the years.

To celebrate this milestone, we added a little extra fun around Mother’s Day with a raffle for Pine Grill gift cards, including ten - $25 winners and one special $85 gift card to mark 85 wonderful years.

While the raffle has now wrapped up, our gratitude continues every day. We’re so thankful for each of you who chose to spend part of your celebration with us.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Robert Miller, Mark’s dad, who left us Friday morning, May 1, 2026.

He was truly the heart behind so much of what we do, our biggest supporter at the restaurant, always ready to run errands, lend a hand, or step in wherever he was needed. Many of you were greeted by his warm smile, especially on Sundays after church, where his deep faith was a guiding part of his life, and when he and his wife faithfully served as our unofficial welcoming committee.

He shared a beautiful, lasting love with his wife and was incredibly proud to be part of the Pile family, holding those relationships close to his heart. Above all, he loved his family deeply and was incredibly proud of his grandchildren, who brought him so much joy.

He was also the unofficial “mayor” of our annual Pine Grill Golf Tournament each August. He never missed the chance to zip around the course on a cart, stopping to chat, laugh, and check in with everyone along the way.

His kindness, dedication, strong faith, and love for both family and community will never be forgotten. We are so grateful to have shared him with all of you.

Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
