Dixie A New Orleans-inspired bar, restaurant, and coffeehouse offering regional-Southern, garden-to-table dishes. We are located in the old Cedar House.

Hey! Next week we are starting CHURCH SUPPER SALAD BUFFET M-F. Choose the Fresh from the Farm veggies you like, a house made dressing, and we will toss it for you. Then, add the side salads that you only get at funerals and the annual church supper revenue raising event...Ambrosia, Pea and Peanut, Carrot Raisin, Texas Caviar...molded salads.
GUMBOS start next Monday as well
And the first of our weekly neighborhood BBQ on the patio. We are doing BBQ chicken, peanut butter stuff jalapenos, Mabel's Potato Salad, fresh grilled corn, House Baked Beans and Smores or Peach Cake. 5:30-9pm Monday

We met the NICEST people yesterday. Including Moses, who just turned 2! And Ms. Lily who turned 98 and had her first cappuccino!

Hey....it is 9;26. We have served only 10 FREE SPECIALTY COFFEE DRINKS all morning! I just picked up the bread order at BREADSMITH for our PULLED PORK SLIDER lunch special...Starry was packed. Our INTELLIGENTSIA and BENDIX coffees are directly traded, delicious, 30% cheaper than they...and FREE today and tomorrow! COME SEE US! There is n't anything else left to clean!

Hi All Y'all,

It has been a busy time here at DIXIE. We finally have everyone out of the hospital and on the mend!

We used the time to focus the menu and work on the patio, which looks fabulous! Come and see us!

We are going on summer hours: DAILY 5;30AM-3:00PM MON/FRI/SAT we reopening for supper from 5:30 to 9pm.

MONDAY we are focusing supper on the patio. Great Grilled and Smoked Cajun Food. All the fun of grilling out, but none of the fuss!

FRI/SAT we are going to focus on traditional New Orleans Fare you have been asking for. Jambalaya, Crayfish Boils,Etouffee, and the like.

Look for our ad in Edible Michiana, and our coupons in
GROUPON.

Our first day back will be Tuesday, June 16. FREE NO PURCHASE REQUIRED SMALL SPECIALTY COFFEE (if you take it to go you have to bring a container or pay for the cup.) TUES AND WEDNESDAY.

Dixie will be closed for a few days. Our chef has been hospitalized. Our lead line cook was bitten by a white wolf spider and is fighting off a severe infection; he cannot use his arm. Our lead server is nursing her father in th ICU. We are a small family business,a small staff. It is rough luck. One day this will be funny...

OUR PRIVATE PARTIES AND CATERINGS ARE COVERED AND ON SCHEDULE WITHOUT A GLITCH!
