We try to be as self aware as possible, and at a minimum have always known we’re not a beautiful beachfront restaurant.

Summers in Maine are iconic, and having spent years working in South Berwick before opening Catbird, we had a pretty good idea of what July usually looks like. We expected things to slow down as they do they do in town. Instead, this week ended up being one of our biggest of the year.

Weekends will always be weekends… give or take. Seeing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday fill up with both familiar faces and first timers has been pretty incredible. Looking at the books for this week, it seems like we’re in for another busy one.

I’ve always said you don’t need a reservation if you’re willing to gamble. I think I need to amend that.

If you want a table, you should probably make a reservation.

Important schedule update: in one week, we will be on summer break. Listen up for the week leading up.
Tuesday - teacher tues: 15% off all educators orders
Wednesday - burger night: burger + any beer = $20
Thursday - baby Friday. Friday junior. Friday but chill.
Friday - locals know that weekends aren’t spent at tourist traps. Book dinner rez for the weekend.
Saturday - strawberry festival: open early for snacks and drinks, book a table after to impress your friends. Will fill up fast.
Sunday: farm-a-Q at Tuckaway Farm. Buy tix in advance.
Summer break: see you all 7/7. Don’t mess up and miss us before then!
