Since the 1940s, the Mancini family has been centering every holiday, gathering, and tradition around one thing – food. Our recipes have been created, perfected, and passed down through the generations. The youngest of six, Rick Mancini was eight years old when his father said to his mother, “When that one can see over the counter, your job is done.” Rick then started making pizzas for himself aft

er school. Grandpa Mancini would always bring ten dough balls to keep in the refrigerator to make pizza during the week. Sometimes, pizza was Sunday dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Mancini in attendance. The two of them created this dough recipe in 1953 for Rick’s uncle’s bar, The Green Lantern. In spring of 2018, Rick started Mancini’s in a gas station and built the company into the establishment we are now – Mancini’s Kitchen. In January 2023, Rick passed down ownership to us – his daughter, Hannah, and niece, Lauren. We are beyond inspired and motivated to continue the restaurant tradition he created for us. As two young women leading a local business, we love being a part of downtown South Lyon, and are honored to serve this wonderful community. We are very excited to share all the food and traditions we have been taught throughout our whole lives!

🚧 Downtown Road Construction Update 🚧

As many of you know, the road work in downtown South Lyon continues, and this week it's affecting us directly.

Unfortunately, we will be closed this Wednesday (07/22) because our water service will be shut off while crews work on the sewer line directly in front of our store. Without water, we're unable to safely prepare and serve food.

There's a possibility the water shutdown could continue into Thursday. Our goal is to reopen as soon as service is restored, and we're hopeful we'll be able to welcome you back on Thursday. We fully expect to be open and serving everyone by Friday.

We know the ongoing construction has been challenging for everyone, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support of our small business during this time. It means more to us than you know.

We'll keep everyone updated if anything changes. Thank you for sticking with us—we can't wait to see you again soon! ❤️🍕

We're excited to announce that after being closed for the past three days, we are finally reopening!
We'll be opening a little later than usual today, with a 2:00 PM start.
We also want to extend another heartfelt thank you to the amazing members of our community who stepped up to help us during this unexpected setback. Your generosity, hard work, and willingness to lend a hand made this reopening possible, and we are incredibly grateful.

‼️‼️‼️Here We Are With Another Update‼️‼️‼️

We were expecting to do a late opening at 4:00 PM, but when we arrived this morning, we discovered that our walk-in refrigerator had failed. As a result, we had to discard all of our refrigerated inventory to ensure we continue to meet our food safety standards.

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible men in our community who came to help us during a very difficult day.

When our walk-in refrigerator failed, we were overwhelmed and in desperate need of help. Without hesitation, you put your own day on hold to lend a hand, and your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help meant more to us than words can express.

Your support reminded us just how fortunate we are to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you for showing up when we needed you most. We will never forget your kindness, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you.
