Important Community Update from Montgomery County Highway Department on Road Bridge Replacement

Due to the rainy weather moving into the area Wednesday the planned closure of River Road at the River Road and Dean Road intersection for bridge replacement has been rescheduled to next week, beginning Monday, April 6th. Delaying this project allows our crews to complete the work more safely and efficiently while minimizing disruptions for residents, commuters, and emergency services.

We understand road closures can be inconvenient, and we appreciate the community’s patience as we work to improve critical infrastructure that keeps Montgomery County moving safely and reliably. This bridge replacement will help ensure long-term roadway stability, improved drainage performance, and safer travel for everyone who depends on River Road each day.
Additional updates, including detour information and expected timelines, will be shared as we approach the new start date.

Our beloved friend, Billy Travis, went to be with the Lord this morning. Prayers for his beautiful wife and family. We'll miss seeing him down at the market.
