Word Up "Sorta Spicy but not too bad" Chowder! It pops right off, delicious, work some spice (flavor) garnished with Peppers and Green Onions....prrrrrrretty much ya gotta try it.

Hi all, we have something in the works for ya'll, its Clam Chowder....BUT this is not just any old Clam Chowder, this one has some Word Up Heat to it. IS it Spicy? Maybe, a little....is it flavorful> OMG its bursting at the seams with flavor, this is my fav chowder ever. This stuff is right up there with the Genereal!

After some difficult decions, some not so difficult decions, and a talking a couple hours to put out heads v together we have a solid plan and my hands are back activley back on the operation. Some changes..

Our hours - 12pm until 8pm.Monday -Friday and have eyes on gettting back Saturday soon. I've worked in a lot of places and Sunday is the day that everyone wants off, so I'm just going to stay closed Sundays.

I'm going to let Chase have some creative Freedom that i think he's going to eat right up but for the time being we're going to focus on knocking each item of the menu right outta the park. Then we advance to cool new stuff.

Soooo with no further adue...Introducing The Word Up Crew 2.0.....

Chase Girard - fresh out of culinary school, this guy has worked for me before and now is a pleasure to have him aboard and in the position of Lead Back of House.

David Carroll - He's a machine. Idk what else to say. He's great in every way and I'm lucky to have him as lead counter guy and a friend, even though he'll never admit it lol

Robert Higgins - hey that's me! I'm the owner and visionary of Word Up. I want it to be amazing, stay amazing, and be simple and today we pointed the ship back in that direction

Rylie Clough - this girl. She's amazing. She brings the awesome. Wish we could have her more than 2 - 3 days a week but with her we'll take what we can get, she's really that great.

There's another 1 - 2 people that might be joining the team but for now...we'll see ya tomorrow! Word Up Brovs!

Hi everyone. Rob here. I started Word Up with one intent. Provide really good, different food at a decent price. Well, really it was two intents, the other was to get out of my Wifeys face for a few hours a day during the winter......but that's a story for another time. We are closing this weekend, doing a little staff restructure and organization, going over some quality control, then we'll be back at with a fresh fervor to just keep it simple and get back to our roots. A quick update from the Word Up crew. ✌️🥡

We’ll be closed until 4:00 PM today as we take a little extra time to regroup behind the scenes.

Running a small business means there are days when you have to adjust, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work through a few staffing challenges.

What we don’t want to go without saying is this…

This community has shown us an incredible amount of love and support since day one. Every order, every kind word, every recommendation to a friend, and every familiar face at the window has helped us build something we’re incredibly proud of.

Thank you for sticking with us.

We’re excited about what’s ahead, we’re working hard behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to keep serving up some real damn good food all summer long.
