For those of you that remember, The Blue Tomato hosted a fundraiser over the summer to support my uncle who was battling cancer.

Unfortunately, he lost that battle this past weekend.

The Stream family could use support and prayers now more than ever.

I’ve been asked quite a few times, so figured I’d post here to explain.

I closed because I wasn’t doing enough in sales.
I was not profitable, not even close.

To be transparent, the week before announcing that I was closing, I did $800 in sales in four days.

I needed to do $850/day to be making it, not excelling, but treading water.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. It is CRUCIAL to support small businesses.
We are the ones donating to schools, crossing paths in the grocery stores, sponsoring sporting events.

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities.

Onto my next adventure!
