I just want to explain a few things about the Cyclosporiasis illness going around in Iceberg Lettuce.

Understand that the CDC has very strict guidelines once an illness has been found in any type of food and would not allow us to sell the item if it were included in a recall.

We do NOT buy our lettuce from Taylor Farms where the recall and illness has been found. We also only buy heads of Iceberg from our supplier and we cut and wash it ourselves.

We also serve Romaine, Spinach, Spring Mix and Green Leaf lettuce that are not included in the recall. You have many choices at our restaurant that don't include Iceberg if you are still scared of that type of lettuce.

This has impacted our business greatly and it is very hard for a Mom and Pop store like ours to survive without the communities support.

We appreciate all of our customers and hope this explanation will help you to decide to support us.

Come to the Freedom Celebration today and see us in the Mountain Sno On The Go Trailer. Gates open at 4:00, the event is free and the fireworks at 9:00 are always amazing. There are many food, drink and craft vendors here as well. They also have a ton of bounce houses and slides. They also have live music planned all evening.

The weather isn't cooperating right now but by 5 it should clear up and be beautiful.

With the extreme heat this week we will not be having Taco Bar tomorrow and will only do Potato Bar on Thursday for call ins. It is just too hot to try to serve these items.
