🌟BOARD SPOTLIGHT - Daryl Knott🌟
Daryl was born and raised in Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1987 with a degree in Business Management. He immediately moved to Colorado and began a career in banking, working for companies such as Bank Western S&L, Charles Schwab & CO., Inc. and the F.D.I.C. While working in Colorado he was recruited and hired by Wells Fargo to manage the commercial loan portfolio in Cheyenne and Casper, WY. He was later promoted to Vice President, in their Private Banking Division. In 2006, Sponsored by Wells Fargo, he graduated from the College of Commercial Credit in Plymouth, MN. In 2012, Daryl graduated with his MBA from the University of Wyoming.
Daryl was hired by American National Bank (ANB) to manage Commercial Lending in Northern Colorado and their Wyoming markets. In 2014 he was promoted to market President of the Gillette, WY Branch. In 2016, he had an opportunity to move to the Black Hills, which was something he had always dreamed of, and begin a career with Great Western Bank in Spearfish, SD. In 2020, with the merger of Great Western Bank and First Interstate Bank, Daryl made a move over to BankWest - South Dakota as their Business Development Officer for the Black Hills market. BankWest has made a large investment into the Spearfish area with the purchase of the Urgent Care Building on Michigan Street.
Daryl and his family love Spearfish and the Black Hills area. He is deeply involved in the Spearfish community and a member in several service organizations, including: Advisory Board Member – Northern Hills Training Center and Northern Black Hills Rotary Club.
