Is it too late if my kid isn't on a club team yet? 🤔

It's one of the most common questions we hear from parents. Short answer: no.

Pediatric guidance says that for most sports, trying several sports and waiting until around 15 or 16 to specialize lowers the risk of injury and burnout and makes long-term success more likely.

Select teams, rec leagues and open play all have a place here. There's room for every path, and no deadline at age nine.

⏰ 7 PM CT: Pistons at Knicks on NBC 2. Detroit is 3-0 behind Cade Cunningham (21.3 points, 8 assists a game); New York is 0-3 and looking for its first win at the Garden.
