Hey everybody, I wanted to give you an update on what’s going on with our Spring location and show you the trailers.
We’ve been able to get our big crawfish cooler trailer and our boiling trailer moved over to our Conroe location and parked out of the way. That was a pretty big job, but now we can start working on some maintenance and get things ready for crawfish season. We’re hoping to start serving crawfish out of the trailer around January, but we’ll keep you updated as we get closer.
We don’t have a new location picked out yet, but we do have a few good options we’re looking at. We’re still trying to figure out what makes the most sense, and we appreciate everybody who has reached out with suggestions and offers to help.
At the old food truck park, they’re working on removing a row of trailers so customers can get access to the back parking lot again. That should help, but we’re still going to lose the side road that used to hold around 50 to 70 cars when we were busy. We already had a hard time with parking, so losing that space is a big change for us.
We’re hoping to get a few sacks of crawfish over the next few weeks and offer them at our Conroe location while we’re open with blue crabs and our other menu items. We’ll let you know if we’re able to make that happen.
One thing I do want everyone to know: we won’t have a crab season at the trailer this year. If you’re wanting blue crabs, come see us at the Conroe location. We’ve brought the number one crabs back, and we’ve got our other menu items there too.
I’ll also be sharing an update on the upcoming crawfish season. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve spent time looking at some of our ponds and visiting different farmers we buy from across the state. I’ll share more about what we’re seeing and what we’re expecting as we get closer to the season.
Thanks to everyone who’s checked in, shared our post, or sent us a possible location. We appreciate y’all sticking with us while we work through this and figure out the next step.
