“Just love everybody and just be kind.” - Grace Key
Through service, compassion, and a commitment to helping others, 7 Brew Heroes embody what it means to Cultivate Kindness™ and make a lasting impact. We’re honored to introduce our October 7 Brew Hero, Grace Key, from Chattanooga, TN!
Grace is an artist, entrepreneur, advocate, and the co-founder of Candidly Kind, a mission-driven business dedicated to spreading light, love, and acceptance.
While Grace was a cheerleader in high school, she faced bullying because of her Down syndrome. During a football game, Grace was separated from the rest of the cheer squad and, during halftime, was asked to sit in the bleachers instead of joining her team on the field. Grace and her mom, Carrie, were heartbroken. But instead of letting that moment define them, they chose to turn it into something meaningful.
Together, they decided to create a world where others would never feel left out, overlooked, or different because of who they are. Using Grace's artwork, creativity, and uplifting messages, they launched Candidly Kind, a brand built on the belief that everyone deserves to have a place of belonging.
Today, Grace designs t-shirt art, writes personal notes to customers, gives back to charitable organizations, and inspires thousands of people through her message of kindness and authenticity. She continues to show the world that Down syndrome does not define a person's potential, but it is simply one part of what makes her beautifully unique.
Through every piece of art, every act of generosity, and every smile she shares, Grace is “living the dream”! To celebrate the incredible impact Grace is making for her community, we're proud to recognize her as an October 7 Brew Heroes with a $500 donation and free drinks for a year.
