Dined at the newly opened Hav and Mar last week and had a spectacular meal and a lovely short visit with Marcus Samuelsson (the executive chef/owner) and Airis Johnson (a consulting chef). Fun facts - 1. The first time I met Marcus was when I was doing all the prep for all the chefs/cookbook authors at Good Morning America in the late eighties/early nineties and he was working at Aquavit and a rising star and 2. Airis had the most popular segment on my show last year when she prepared jambalaya from her native New Orleans, (episode 1001). You must check out Hav and Mar; it is some of the most exciting food I have tasted in awhile. Marcus Samuelsson AIRIS FOODS
