Friends,
Many of you are aware our crew is made up of four hardworking individuals. Corey, Emily, Patrick, and Gus.
We have been very fortunate to have the two original members of Long Nine return for our second venture downtown.
Gus played a huge role in our day to day operations. He worked for us from the beginning years ago and we were so grateful to have him back with us this time around.
After the first week open Corey and I looked at each other and knew we NEEDED Gus!
Many of you may not have met him as he was our prep guy in the back, helping us stay up on meats, dishes, drinks, everything we could possibly need to keep things going smoothly during our very busy lunches.
Gus was one of the happiest people to be around. Always laughing, singing, he just knew how to bring a smile to everyone’s faces even during the most stressful days.
Corey and him worked together for many years at Augies Front Burner as well.
It is with our heaviest of hearts to say that Gus passed away this weekend due to a heart attack he suffered a few weeks back.
Corey and I loved Gus like family and Long Nine will never be the same without him.
We are so thankful to have known him and had him with us these past years.
Everyone love on your family members, friends, coworkers extra hard because you never know when you will not get the chance to do so again.
Gus we love you and we will miss you so much.
