Chef Dave is back in action at the Downtown Athletic Club! Join us every Wednesday from 5-8pm for classic wood fired Neapolitan pizza, cocktails, and drinks. Membership not required for this event. Just come in through the parking garage across the sky bridge and tell the main desk you’re “friends of Dave’s”. Hope to see your smiling faces again soon!

A very special Thank You to everyone that got out to support us for our last days at Ciao. The shear volume of wonderful people that helped us sell out our inventory and the kindness you all showed us was humbling. I will remember this week as one of the hardest, yet somehow also the best of my 30 year career in restaurants. As promised I have created a personal chef page on Facebook for anyone that would like to keep in touch and for information on where I’ll be popping up for guest chef appearances! It is with great regret I have to announce Ciao will be closing down permanently at the end of this month. Our last day of operation will be this Thursday. It has been a pleasure getting to know and take care of so many amazing people. Unfortunately the stresses of staffing and the uncertainty of the last couple years have proved too much for me to carry on. I will miss seeing all of your smiling faces, but I will be back and cooking for you again in the future! Feel free to pm me, and please stop in this week to say goodbye.

We were hired to produce a special roast pig for a private party! Very excited about this… so excited we decided to make another Porchetta for in house service as well! Starting Saturday, and until sold out we will be running our Porchetta on special at Ciao. Come try this Italian delicacy while you can! Whole pig, deboned and marinated. Trussed with the muscle groups aligned so you get a little pieces of each part of the pig in each boneless slice! Only at .

We have a fun special in the works for this weekend. We brined and smoked a Mary’s organic chicken, it will be picked and tossed in a red wine cured cheese sauce with house made orecchiette pasta and bacon, then finished with sweet pea shoots. We are taking a day to recuperate! Tomorrow Monday the 23rd we will be closed. We’ll reopen Tuesday at 2pm. Thank you to all our amazing customers and staff for sustaining our lovely little restaurant!

We are looking for a couple good cooks at Ciao! If you know anyone looking please send them our way. Until we find someone we will have to be closed on Mondays. Our new hours of operation will be Tuesday-Sunday 3-9pm.

Unfortunately we have had a little turnover with some of our newest staff this week. As such we will have to amend our hours of operation again. Starting next week we will still be open 7 days a week, but just for dinner service. Our hours will be 2-9 Sunday though Thursday and 2-10 Friday and Saturday. Apologies for all the disappointment this is sure to cause! Know that we are searching hard for the right people to fill out our team, and plan to reopen for lunch as soon as we find them! And as always, thank you for the support and love you all bring to Ciao. It has kept us going through these challenging times!

With one of our ovens out of commission until Tuesday and a weary crew, we have decided to take the day off tomorrow. A giant Thank You to everyone that supported us over this trying weekend. We will be back at it and good as new Tuesday!
